Ideal camp base

 

Thanks to their geographical situation between the Lake of Annecy and Mont Blanc, the Aravis mountains are an ideal base from which to get to know the Savoie region.

 

In less than 30 minutes you can discover Annecy, with its medieval city center and its lake on which numerous water sports are available with beach facilities and marinas where you can rent surfboards and sailing boats. You can also cycle or do rollerblade along the banks, or play at one of the two 18-hole golf courses.

In less than an hour you can try one of the legendary summits of Chamonix – Mont Blanc, or visit Geneva and its international institutions, discover Lake Leman and the charming medieval village of Yvoire. Also possible, a cruise on the Lake of Bourget !

If you have a sense of history, you can visit baroque churches, the Glières plateau, the Charterhouse of Le Reposoir, Tamié and Hautecombe Abbies. None of them are far from the Aravis mountains.
