The Aravis mountains, made up of high valleys and plateaux, separated by passes and valleys cut out by mountain streams, have for more than 10,000 years sheltered people who need to be brave, free-spirited and daring, earning their living from wood and agriculture.

Located 30 km from Annecy and its TGV station and only 50 km from Geneva airport, the  Aravis mountains are turned towards tourism while avoiding the dangers of unplanned development.
La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornand, Manigod and Saint Jean de Sixt have preserved their mountain village soul through traditional architecture. They make up one of the few areas that has managed to find a harmonious balance between agriculture and tourism

The Aravis mountains offer rich and luxuriant nature and a lot of pastoral activity linked to the manufacture of the famous Reblochon (A.O.C.) Cheese.

As a land of winter and summer champions, a paradise for all slide sports, the Aravis mountains invite you to share the playing areas of all these sports people all summer long.

Lake or mountain ? You can go from one to the other in less than one hour, for to the pleasures of the mountains in summer you can add the joys of bathing or slide-sports in the lake of Annecy.
